Happy Bastille Day – Joyeux 14 juillet!

Happy Bastille Day – Joyeux 14 juillet!

Bonjour! Joyeux fetes! It’s France’s National Holiday today, aka Bastille Day to us English speakers. Inspiring enough for me to put together a quick post. Just a few links for fun. I posted about it last year, you’ll find some fun stuff there too. Happy Bastille Day – Joyeux 14 juillet!

I’ve been following the Tour de France, a little bit, mainly for the scenery 🚵‍♀️. Today for Stage 17 they will be in the Pyrenees. On Sunday they arrive in Paris, this last stage starts in Chatou, a charming city in itself!

This celebration today with Portland Cocktail Week looks interesting! I also found all kind of Bastille Day playlists on Spotify.

I’ve always wanted a French Press, today is the perfect excuse to order one! How about the Clara French Press, from goop, mais oui. And a little something from The French Pharmacy: Clean Edition? Comme d’habitude pour goop, everything is a little pricey, but I definitely need this ANTIFRIZZ STYLE CREAM today 🙄 This was pretty much an excuse to throw in a little goop, would that be poog in Verlan?? POOG sounds like a good podcast, and oui, they were also on goop.

How will we be celebrating Chez Barton? This year it will be low key, since it’s a Wednesday and we both are working, malheureusement. I’ll be checking out Eiffel Tower Paris Live Cam on YouTube to watch the fireworks, they start at 11 pm Paris/5 pm ET. So, we are thinking a nice French wine, some très facile French Onion Soup and a simple salad, maybe with a little Brie or Camembert? Oh – what about this SUMMER RASPBERRY BRIE SALAD? This Pastis Shrimp looks like a party too. If the weather holds out, maybe some Boules… For dessert, I’m thinking Cream Puffs! Maybe I’ll have time to make my own? That’s a whole post in it’s own, finding time!

So that’s it, short and sweet 🌟 Before I go, take a look at parisjetaime, and hotellesdeuxgirafes 🌟 Happy Bastille Day – Joyeux 14 juillet! À bientôt!
