Foxy Friday

Foxy Friday

Bonjour Friday and bonjour foxes! I love Fridays and hey, guess what? I love foxes too! Almost as much as unicorns! One very early morning several years ago, I was taking Raz outside and there, just on the other side of the fence, was a fox, curled up in the grass, just watching us. It was so magical, I’ve been in love ever since. So it’s Foxy Friday, tout le monde!

Foxy Foxglove

First foxes, let’s talk about Foxy Foxglove, which I planted under the hummingbird feeder, because the hummies like foxgloves, and she’s doing tres bien! She’s starting to bloom, can’t wait to see her!

In the photo above you’ll see a Charlotte Fox Kit. Notice I purchased her at The French Needle. I keep saving her, not sure why, but should I start? She’s so sweet. The book Pax, a beautiful story about a boy and his fox, is a very good read. The photo of the two foxes? It was taken in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, which has to be one of the most beautiful parks in the country. It was a gift from Amy. The embroidered fox card is from Coral & Tusk, it was also a gift from my friend Amy (the same beautiful friend who started all of the plants for me). Coral & Tusk is having a Memorial Day sale right now, you should check them out!

And what about Café Kitsuné? Kitsuné is Japanese for fox. I’ve mentioned them before in my café au lait post. I have an espresso cup from there. I also brought home their coffee blend. But the matcha latte is what they are know for. Beyond awesome. There’s now a Café Kitsuné in New York, I didn’t get to visit them on my birthday trip, there’s always next time! Closer to home is Fox in the Snow, that’s where the coffee mug above is from. I make it a point to go every time I am in Columbus. It is the coolest coffee shop I know, outside of Paris.

And finally, how about Kitsune Udon? I’ve always wanted to make this recipe from Just One Cookbook, what do you think? I don’t have one of my own recipes to post today, it’s just all about foxes. But the recipe looks delicious, and it’s going to be my goal to make it before the end of the month.

So I hope you’ll enjoy all the fun foxy links I’ve given you to explore today. Btw, did you notice the fox in the chair above? He was a gift from sister. He is supposed to be outside, but he likes it better inside with us, by the fireplace. Happy foxy Friday everyone, and have a great memorial day weekend! I’ll be taking a break too on Monday, so meet me back here next Wednesday for quoi de neuf. À bientôt!
