quoi de neuf – a happy new year!

quoi de neuf – a happy new year!

Salut 2021! And welcome! January is kind of a slow, quiet time of year. Everyone is getting healthy, resting up from the holiday festivities. That is what I’m doing anyway. Enjoying low key evenings with husband and puppy. Puppy and I both have birthdays this month, so there is that to look forward to! Here are some other things I’m enjoying, mainly to do with food, because, that’s me 😋. Bienvenue à quoi de neuf – a happy new year!

The first thing I am going to (re)watch is Dreams, Vision Boards, & How To Take Back Control in 2020 from Boho Beautiful last year. As you probably know, I LOVE Boho. I’m started the new Boho Journey last week. Why not work on a Vision/Dream Board for the new year too?

I’m so excited for the 4th (and last 😥) season of Call My Agent! And what is the title of the first episode of season 4? Charlotte 😊 Why are there not more French shows on Netflix, or Prime for that matter? I might start re-watching some of the old episodes beforehand.

For Christmas, husband gave me The Invisible Life of Addie Larue by V.E. Schwab. I must say I love this book and highly recommend it. It’s one of those kind of stories that is hard to put down.

What day is it 🐪? National Bean Day of course! And how will I celebrate? Chili Sin Carne – straight from my new favorite cookbook Wild Recipes! I’ve been making recipes from Emma’s cookbook all week. Hollyweed on Sunday, Monkey Mylk on Monday… this one is going to be so good! Also for Bean Day, NYT Cooking has 41 ways to turn white beans into dinner!

You know I’m silly excited to start the Annual Goop Detox!, just announced Monday. I do it every year, so looking forward to the new recipes. Sweet potatoes? How about this Sweet Potato Hummus Plate? Yay🍠! And a Sweet Potato Bowl always hits the spot! While we’re at it, check out these Crockpot Sweet Potatoes by Well Plated!

Speaking of Goop, I talked about the Ultrean Air Fryer in my gift post (which would still be perfect for sister), but I went for the one I saw on Goop, and I can’t wait to try their French Fry recipe.

And because it is Moist January, pour moi, I am thinking about ordering Kin Spritz! Looks good, non?

etc

Along with yoga and meditation every day, I am trying to get back to my journaling as often as possible. This article, 30 Journal Prompts to Start Your Day Feeling Inspired, is very helpful indeed!

I am loving my new SuperSoft Fleece Wide Leg Pants from Quince – very soft, and cool 😎.

So that’s really all, maintenant, that’s quoi de neuf – a happy new year! Hope yours has started off well too! I’ll leave you with a happy new recipe. À bientôt!

Happy Banana Face Mask

I love the smell of bananas – I think it's mood boosting 🍌 Banana pulp and peel are rich in antioxidants, vitamin A (which converts to retinol), and cartenoids and phenolics which renew the completion. Turmeric contains antioxidants that give skin a firmed and tightened appearance. Win win!
