monday meditation – how to journal, script and manifest happy
“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”
Dalai Lama
Happy Monday! Happy and Monday have never really seemed to go together. The end of a short weekend and beginning of a long work week (normally). Now it’s different. The beginning of a new week, a week full of possibility. I started journaling about a month into my furlough, shortly after starting this blog. In fact, my first journal entry was the same day as this post, where I wrote about taking time for yourself. In my very first post I wrote about meditating, about being in control of what we think and reflect on. I want to learn more about how all of this comes together. Learn along with me today and my monday meditation – how to journal, script and manifest happy.
Journal
I decided to journal as part of my self care journey. I had already been meditating, and this seemed like a natural extension, a form of meditation actually. It was difficult at first because I didn’t know how exactly I was supposed to be doing it or how it was supposed to help me, or even when. First thing in the morning? Before or after meditation? I began by just writing down anything and everything I was thinking until I filled a journal page. Later, I did the same, but ended with an intention or mantra for the day. After that I started writing what I was grateful for, the what would make the day great, then what my intention was. Obviously, it is a journey, finding what is right for you. My routine now is first thing spend time with a daily devotion and pray. Then meditation, then journal. That way, I can incorporate the devotion and mantra from the meditation into my intention in my journal.
more journaling
When I was researching how to journal, I found a nice worksheet that started with 10 things I am grateful for and ended with advise from my higher self. Sometimes it’s nice to have prompts to follow and think about. I also do what Shayna does now, and write freely, then end with turning any negative thoughts I’ve written into positive affirmations. I have a pretty notebook that I picked up somewhere a long time ago that I’m using, but when it’s time for a new one, there are so many cool ones out there. Of course Goop has a good one. Or how about a classic Moleskine journal, or several, in different colors?
script
I just heard about this while watching an episode of Purple Palace on YouTube. Shayna has been such an inspiration. We are so different (we are both Aquarius though!), but I am learning so much from her, really! She is a ray of sunshine. Anyway, she talked about how she uses scripting to basically manifest her dreams. When I google scripting to manifest what I see right away is the Law of Attraction which basically states the thoughts we focus on are what we attract in our lives. Scripting then is where you take the time to write about yourself and your life exactly how you want it to be. In detail. For example, Shayna scripts about the house she wants to have. She writes about everything, from the tabby cat in the yard, to what the staircase looks like, to how she feels walking through it. She writes as if she already has it, as if it has already happened. So you script to manifest your own personal happy. I’m excited about trying this myself soon.
manifest
So it’s time to manifest happy. Start today! Start by being grateful for what you have, thankful for your blessings. Write down the things that make you happy. We are responsible for our own happiness. It is inside you. It doesn’t depend on external things or circumstances. Let go of the things that make you unhappy. Meditation is good for this, and you know Boho has a meditation for that. Be open to new possibilities. Pray, ask for daily guidance. As Shaynas’s journal says “Prayer is the key to unlock every door“. And also from the same episode of Purple Palace “If you want to know what your future is going to look like, look at your thoughts today“. I hope my monday meditation – how to journal, script and manifest happy has been helpful for you. How about an ice cream recipe for a little bit of Monday happy? À bientôt!
Happy Monday Mango Basil Ice Cream
3 mangos, peeled and chopped about 2 1/2 cups

In a food processor or high power blender, add mango, coconut milk, lime juice, maple syrup and several pinches of salt. Blend until smooth (mine wasn’t completely smooth, but its all good). Add the chopped basil and pulse several more times. Pour into loaf pan and freeze at least 3 hours. When serving, top with a fresh basil leaf. Joyeux lundi à tous!
