quoi de neuf encore
Bonjour and bienvenue! My 7th week of lock down and time is still flying. I am trying to do all the things I normally don’t have time to do but I’m not stressing if I don’t get to doing everything. I am still just grateful for the time – especially the time with Razzi, even if she seems to be getting just a little grouchy with all my “company”. Voila – this Wednesday’s quoi de neuf.
Doing
Speaking of doing all the things, I will try to finally finish a precious Dreaming Foxes embroidery that I have been working on forever, and maybe even finish embroidering the set of Chinese take out napkins I have been working on for a long time also.
I keep forgetting I have this whimsical coloring book: Secret Paris, Color Your Way to Calm. I will try to do at least a page of that this week.
Reading
The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy. I bought this last year, but keep coming back to it. A precious book with beautiful artwork, it is especially relevant now. I also follow him on Instagram.
Vogue Paris March 2020 edition. Finally getting to this free digital download.
Listening to
The High Low Podcast Weekly pop culture and news. Brilliant and hilarious.
Watching
The Other Guys (2010) with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Ok, this has nothing to do with Paris or food or is not the kind of movie I would even look for, but we found it the other night on Netflix and it was hilarious. A fun distraction.
Wearing
What I wish I was wearing this spring? A cool denim jacket. I have one, but it’s a very small fit. This one from Gap looks like a good one. An oversized one would be cool too – I am really loving this Levis jacket.
Cooking
So many recipes I plan to do this week, including another Goop recipe, of course, Bibb, Avocado, and Tuna Salad with Tarragon Dijon Dressing. I love any kind of version of salade niçoise. It’s featured in an article about make ahead salads that last in the fridge, so I plan on making one for me and one for Mark to take to work.
I also will make Crispy Chicken Tinga Taquitos with lime avocado crema, except I’m going to try and make them with beans instead of chicken, and Asada Mushroom Tacos with Lime Smashed Avocado, both from Halfbaked Harvest. I can’t say enough about Tieghan and her recipes and website. So creative and fun the photos are gorgeous. Every recipe I’ve made from her has turned out amazing and delicious.
And finally this Perfect Pan Pizza from A Couple Cooks for pizza Friday! I’m normally a thin crust girl, but this looks too delicious not to try!
Merci for joining me for this humpday’s quoi de neuf! Join me Friday for something frenchy, something foody! A bientôt!
That is the sweetest picture of HRH, it might be my favorite! Happy you’re getting some crafty time in!! YAY! I’m coloring chickens and making an earring thingy. I have like 5 tabs open to read/listen to now… Thank you! …starting with the pizza!
