What’s up November – how to be light & more loving kindness!

Bonjour! Quoi de neuf mes amies? I seriously can’t believe it is novembre already – 2020, tu es fou! And snow already! Of course its supposed to be 70 this weekend 🙄 – love you Ohio! I’ve got all kinds of beautiful tulip bulbs to plant, so that’s one thing I’ll be doing before the next snow. What are you working on? How about joining me in “Loving Kindness” month? What’s up November – how to be light & more loving kindness!

My Oui yogurt lid today said L’Art de Bien Vivre – The Art of Living Well, and that’s what I will be doing. It’s what this blog is all about! And for more French practice I’ll be watching Easy French suggested by Paris Breakfasts.

I signed up for this free course 書道LEVEL1: Mindful Japanese Calligraphy for Beginners – haven’t started yet – I need all the help with mindfulness I can get!

November is all about Loving Kindness, so let’s make sure to practice a classic Loving-Kindness Meditation throughout the month and even after the month is over.

Mornings before work offer a sacred space and set the tone for the day. They’re a good time to remind myself that self-care is self-love, and if you don’t honor yourself first, it’s a challenge to find your way in the world.

Beautiful Shayna with her Purple Palace is back being a light and inspiration to me with A Cozy Autumn Day in Paris 🍂 cafés, speaking French, journaling & pretty walks. Perfect timing. She talks about taking care of yourself, sparking joy, and shares a lovely affirmation, “I am light”. Don’t be heavy hearted, don’t become jaded. Also “I only attract abundance”. Just what I need right now. I’ve already watched 3 times.

Also new for November is a 7 day trial of the new Boho Beautiful Official. Boho is as inspiring as ever with a calendar for November for the intention/theme: “Loving Kindness“. Merci Boho Beautiful! Self-care and self-love – let’s get to it!

Then there’s a fresh, quoi de neuf if you will, Paris walk from Super Walker Walking tour in Paris around the Eiffel Tour filmed the 1st day of November, can’t get enough Paris walks!

Our newly formed book club at work voted for The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle so I’m getting ready to start reading that. My vote was for Midnight Library. I was really looking forward to reading it, another book to put on my list! Anyway, I’m due for a good mystery.

I recently got this Merino Boyfriend Cardigan, in navy – more Goop that way. It’s really nice quality, a great purchase on sale. I really want The Fox Club sweater by Kiel James Patrick and speaking of foxes, this print on DNStyles. This Tee from WWF and Charlie Mackesy is just too sweet not to buy. While perusing Sephora I got a free sample of Lord Jones Royal Oil to go along with my CBD wellness journey. Check this out: one of my favorites, Farmhouse Fresh, now has a line of CBD! Mellow Moon Dip? A MUST for moon day! Finally, a Poppy Candle would be perfect for the holidays.

I’ve been obsessed with Wild & the Moon lately (what, you haven’t noticed?) I have been going through their menu and trying to replicate their recipes. Found another recipe from Emma for Seed Bread that I want to try too. I think I might need just one more cookbook, Wild Recipes: Plant-Based, Organic, Gluten-Free, Delicious, and maybe one for la soeur aussi 😉.

Starting next Monday, to go along with Loving Kindness Month, I’ll be doing Goop’s Pre-Holiday Cleanse. I ordered Hum Flatter Me to help. I 💕 the Goop cleanse recipes. And here’s a great article to cook and chill with: 17 Ways to Chop, Whisk & Knead for Less Stress.

Beets are good for detoxing, lowering blood pressure, and improving heart health – so, perfect for loving kindness. Here’s a recipe for Quinoa Collard Wraps that I’ve been wanting to try – feel the healthy! How about a Rose Beet Latte? I’ve made a version of this before, and it was heartwarming. Here is a recipe I just came up with to treat myself with loving-kindness made with some healthy ingredients that I love.

Toasted Buckwheat & Beet Salad

With heart healthy buckwheat and beets and the beautiful flavors of pistachio and rose, this salad is love & light on a plate. I like to buy pre-cooked beets, like Love Beets, for no mess simplicity. Feel free to make substitutions – instead of rose water use Dijon for a classic vinaigrette., walnuts instead of pistachios or feta in place of goat cheese, it's all good! Created originally in honor of November Loving Kindness month.
