4 cool cocktail bars I want to try in Paris

Happy Friday and bon week-end! This is my last furlough Friday and I’m going to make the most of it! Going to have fun with precious princess puppy, drink a Parisian inspired cocktail and of course indulge in a Paris pizza Friday! In my post friday in Paris avec ma soeur I said I would talk about cool bars in Paris now, so here we go – 4 cool cocktail bars I want to try in Paris!

Bar Hemingway

Hotel Ritz, 15 Place Vendome. The first bar I would love to try is in the 1st. I’ve always wanted to go but have been a little intimidated, it being at The Ritz and all. It’s a recommendation Forest Collins of 52 Martinis also shared with the Earful Tower. “A serious classic, tell the head bartender Colin to make you what he thinks you want.”

L’Absinthe Café

54 Rue de Turbigo. Not to be confused with L’Absinthe the restaurant, which I did have the pleasure to visit with my husband and highly recommend. Check out their website for some fun recipes. After our dinner we tried La Charlotte Absinthe, because how could we not? But I’m writing about bars I would like to try, so LAbsinthe Café would be one definitely. David Lebovitz mentions it in his book Drinking French. It’s in the Marais and has a large terrace which sounds perfect. They also serve food and have a selection of Absinthe dishes.

Experimental Cocktail Club

37 Rue Saint Sauveur. I believe this is the cocktail bar that started them all in Paris. It has also been on my list for a long time. Not far from L’Absinthe Cafe, it’s a hip part of town. Of course my lovely Goop recommends it – “beyond the appeal of being impossible-to-find, Parisians really come because they love the artful cocktails.” you know that’s goop enough for me!

Fitzgerald

54 Boulevard de la Tour-Maubourg. I have to visit a bar in the 7th for sure. The Fitzgerald is a restaurant with a hidden bar behind it. I would love to try the DALÍ made with Vodka Zubrowka, blueberry, purple basil, Verjus, and ginger beer, a beautiful spin on a Moscow Mule.

Speaking of Moscow Mules here is an interesting article 😜 And for my final furlough Friday, I believe this will be my cocktail. I haven’t had a Mule yet this summer, so now is the time. Of course I will need to give mine a Parisian kick. I hope you enjoyed my happy Friday 4 cool cocktail bars I want to try in Paris, and I hope you’ll enjoy this Parisian Mule! À bientôt!

Parisian Mule

A delicious and refreshing summer cocktail. The first time I tried Cointreau was in Paris. We were walking back to our hotel and stopped at a little market and they had a bottle on the shelf. I asked mom what it tastes like and we decided to take some back to the room for a night cap. I’ve loved it ever since.
