Happy Earth Day 2025!

Bonjour and bonne journée de la terre! I was just looking back at my Earth Day 2020 post and wow, time has flown. I sure am missing my angel Razzi. And I definitely have my hands full with the GG’s ( my nickname for Greta & Gwyneth). I can’t wait until they are comfortable enough to walk around the neighborhood, we live in a beautiful spot in North Canton with so many trees… they are going to love it. As a throwback to my old blog style, I thought I’d do a quoi de neuf post. What’s new, what I’m loving; doing, reading and especially eating. So enjoy 🌎 Happy Earth Day 2025!
Doing
I’m still loving Boho Beautiful yoga, I’ve been following them since 2017. I subscribe to Boho Beautiful Official and today did a wonderful Yoga Flow for Energy Release | Reclaim Your Inner Strength. It was just what I needed. If you aren’t subscribed, this 20 Min Yoga & Daily Deep Stretch | Mother Earth Grounding Class For Personal ‘Great Reset’ free on YouTube would be perfect today. Maybe I’ll do that one when I get home.
Listening
I’m also still listening to all the chill music on YouTube. This April I have been all about anything Sakura, or Cherry Blossom. So many pretty videos with chill music and Sakura, like this one. I’m also loving all the cute Mocha. playlists.
I’ve really been slacking podcast wise, here are some podcasts in my cue. Goop just posted a podcast today For the Love of Food – going to listen after I finish this post. You know I love my GP!
Martha Swales the Gardening Guru on Dessert Island Dishes would be great for Earth Day. I’m hoping with a little extra chicken wire to top my garden (sorry deer!) I’ll actually be able to harvest vegetables again this year.
And the Daylist right now on Spotify pour moi is french pop midi morning, mais oui.
Reading
The Eyes and the Impossible by Dave Eggers It is so beautifully written I believe it is going to be one of my favorite books of all time. It’s about a dog named Johannes who lives in a park by the sea. He is so fast (like my Gwyn!) and he is the eyes of the park. Read the reviews… just read the book! Another good choice for Earth Day too.
For some short reads, check out 10 Sustainable Living Tips from Rêve En Vert. Or practice your French reading skills with Jour de la Terre : 9 actions à mettre en place dès aujourd’hui pour limiter son impact environnemental from Vogue France. I’m also re-researching Regenerative Agriculture. Almost forgot – I preordered An Untroubled Heart: Calming Anxiety and Finding God’s Peace. I follow Kara on Instagram and she is so inspiring, this daily devotional should be just perfect.
Eating
And now to the good stuff! In my 2020 post I was making Radish and Carrot Green Pistachio Pesto, an excellent Earth Day choice. Combine it with this Gran Cucina Pistachio Tagliatelle Pasta I found at World Market and it’s so easy being green!
The beautiful, vegan Deviled Avocados recipe from the lovely Clotilde that I included in my post 5 Selected Recipes from French Cookbooks that I Love would be a perfect lunch for Earth Day, or any day. Stopping by Earth Fare 😜 for the supplies tonight.
For an Earth Day breakfast, a Strawberry Matcha Smoothie would be delightful. I’m also wanting to get in all the Sakura recipes before the end of April. Sakura Macarons 🌸 Sakura Matcha Latte 🌸 Sakura Yuba Gohan 🌸Sakura Mochi 🌸 and especially this Sakura Poundcake which I’ve already bought the Sakura-An bean paste for.
So that’s my short & sweet post to catch up with you on this beautiful, happy Earth Day 2025. Don’t forget to play today’s Free the Ocean trivia! What about an Earth Day quiz? Remember to Eat Seasonal. Get outside and hug a tree! À bientôt!
