Chill and be happy with your life today – this is quoi de neuf

Bonjour! This has been a very chill week so far, I’ve been focusing on my meditation, yoga and journaling. Boules and fire pits. Admiring the deer and their babies. Feeling the healthy and loving it. Enjoying daily walks with Razzi and just being grateful for each beautiful day God is giving me. Chill and be happy with your life today – this is quoi de neuf.

Reading

I just began reading How Proust Can Change Your Life by Alain de Botton last night. It is très cool. The first chapter is titled How to Love Life Today. I am going to read this book very slowly though so that it will last until I’m done reading Swann’s Way, which I’m thinking might take most of the summer. And looking for more from Alain de Botton online, I came across a wonderful article, How to Travel from your Sofa. I am sure to learn something new from this, I’m sure you would enjoy it too.

Watching

Ina Garten Cook Like a Pro: Tomatoes. I recorded this from Food Network (skip the first part – lamb? Non, merci.), you can also pay to watch on YouTube, or just google the recipes 😉 . I’m excited about tomato season! Burrata and Tomatoes – yes! Stewed Lentils and Tomatoes – oui! And I think I’ll have to make the Penne Arrabiata this week, in fact tonight.

Midnight Diner Tokyo Stories Season 3. We just finished season 3 of Midnight Diner. I so wish there were more! Take your time and savor each episode. It really draws you in, let’s you get lost in the story, like meditation. I guess we are just going to have to start from the beginning and watch again, except this time try to replicate some of the recipes to eat as we watch! Season 1, episode 2 is Corn Dog – I’m up for that!

Wearing

Kooples Buttoned Navy Blue Formal Shirt. Pretty cool. Looks like something I would have been lucky to find when I was shopping thrift stores for vintage. They are having a great sale right now. And I’m loving this and this denim skirt on Goop. The search is on for similar ones priced for me and the real world!

Cooking

Feeling the healthy with all kinds of good recipes this week. For meatless Monday I had Goop Crunchy Kale Salad with Blood Orange Vinaigrette for lunch, delicious! and I’m absolutely going to make more of the crunchy kale to snack on. For dinner I had The Market Gardner’s Zucchini and Curry Soup, it was delicious and I can’t wait to have the leftovers as a cold soup. I am looking forward to Boulettes de quinoa, gremolata coriandre, persil et tapenade for lunch one day. Pistachio Gremolata? Oui! And last but not least, should I make David’s new favorite meal this weekend or this lasagna from Véronique of Do It In Paris? Let me know in the comments below!

That’s all for now – chill and be happy with your life today – this is quoi de neuf . I really hope your humpday is chill and happy. Join me Friday for more Paris inspiration and a new pizza and movie paring! A bientôt!

  • Arrabiata is my pâtes préférées!! Chef Roscoe of, ‘Cozze’ (Portland) would make this for me often for our midnight post-service Repas, he would add capers tho with a side or two of Barolo 😉 and share stories of his amazing life! Perfection! miss those nights. I say go with Davids favorite meal, that looks Fabuleux!
