Keyword: football party, fun food, spicy
Servings: 2 generous

Ingredients

  • 10 whole chicken wings, organic * buy them whole, cut them in half yourself
  • 8 ounces Frank's RedHot
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 stick butter * (4 tbsp )
  • baking powder
  • cayenne pepper powder
  • salt, pepper
  • ¼ cup pepperoncini juice, optional * the liquid from a jar of pepperoncini
  • celery and blue cheese to serve

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400° F. Place wings on a non-stick foiled baking tray. Sprinkle wings with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Dust with baking powder. Alternately, put baking powder, salt, pepper and cayenne in a large bowl with the wings and toss to coat, then place on baking sheet. Bake wings until done, 40-45 minutes.
To a medium saucepan, add RedHot, peanut butter, and 3-4 shakes cayenne pepper powder. If adding pepperoncini juice, add it now with an extra tbsp. of peanut butter. Heat until it just starts to bubble, stirring occasionally, remove from heat.
Place sauce and wings in a large mixing bowl and toss. Place wings on baking tray with clean non-stick foil. Set back in warm oven to allow sauce to set, 8-10 minutes. Serve with blue cheese dressing and celery. Go bucks!

Notes

If you happen to have a peanut allergy, Mark has a great substitute - grape jelly!  Add 4 tablespoons in place of the peanut butter, literally the jam! 😉
